Assessment Overview

The Contract Teacher Performance Assessment Portal (CTAP) is a comprehensive evaluation mechanism designed by the School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, to identify, reward, and retain the highest-performing contract teachers across all 39 districts of the province.

Unlike traditional evaluation methods that relied on manual documentation, subjective recommendations, and opaque decision-making, the CTAP process is entirely digitalized through the providence platform. This ensures that every teacher is evaluated against the same rigorous, standardized criteria, eliminating bias, favoritism, online degree verification and administrative error. The assessment covers multiple dimensions of teaching excellence: classroom performance, student learning outcomes and retention, professional development engagement, subject matter expertise, and peer review scores. Each dimension carries a defined weight in the final merit calculation.

Assessment Purpose

100% Merit-Based Extension The extension of contract teacher positions is strictly based on merit. Only the highest-performing teachers, as determined by a rigorous digital assessment, will have their contracts extended, ensuring quality education.

The School Education Department is regularly access the performance of teachers appointed on contract bases for a period of 18 months across all 39 districts of Balochistan.

The final score is a weighted sum out of 100. Teachers are ranked by their total score.
Only those scoring the 70% or above are considered for contract extension.
